Easter in Pignon, 2022!

Darling SERIPHIN is here to show you the importance of the various projects to be implemented and those already carried out by Loving Haiti in the commune of Pignon, Haiti of which I am the first recipient of the ML (micro loan) program of this organization. So, our joy overflows to be officially recognized by you as the person in charge of the Haitian monthly newspaper.
The Easter celebration begins on Sunday, April 10, 2022, for Protestant Christians, which, commonly called Palm Sunday where the Baptist and Protestant churches (Catholics began for a few days under the name of (Lent) but the churches are beginning to focus their minds on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Savior of all time, and continue to make teachings based on Christ, his love, his compassions. My wife and I still want to use this time as the time when we labor to submit ourselves to the foot of the cross once again Knowing the blessings of the Lord to our behalf for Jesus Christ in His mercy is the only worthy friend to whom we can continue to present our words, our thanksgiving. Again, we want this time to be a blessed time for us. On Good Friday (Friday, April 15), congregations used the afternoon to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ and as the Bible tells us, Sunday (3rd day) will be his resurrection and this celebration will take place at dawn (2 hours 30 minutes by a named activity Easter-at-dawn) to celebrate this resurrection in worship and praise and meditation. My wife and I will be counted among the participants.
The economic situation of the Haitian People is going from bad to worse. The venders who can be considered as wholesalers for the city of Pignon can only transport a few products or goods. The printing companies (Copy Companies) are in a more than serious situation because a box of 8.5 * 11 paper that we bought at the price of 4,500.00 gourdes ($41) the second week of March is now 7,500.00 gourdes ($68) excluding tax. Still, the town has seen a lot of large opening of small businesses such as: copying companies, jersey printing room, soft drink depots, building materials and others…
All of these are contributing to a big drop in the unemployment rate where I see a lot of young boys are getting to work and starting to set up other businesses. Another view appears socially and intellectually. The political situation remains the same. Pignon is not exempt from any crisis on the rise in product prices (food or other). Schools are functioning better than the start of the academic year is 2022-203. I estimate a great awareness on the part of learners who show more will to educational affairs and create much more educational activities.
The school activity announced by “IDEAL GENIE INTERSCOLAIRE” could not respect the date officially given but which will begin in the week of May 08, 2022. We will have 8 schools (participants).
In terms of climate, the area experienced heavy rain in the afternoon of Saturday April 09, 2022, which fell around 1 hour. This rain fall only shows us the rainy season and that the plowmen can start planting the fields or for someone to start cleaning the fields.
Gas pumps continue to serve the city and its surrounding areas with what little they have as it seems to be a result of fuel scarcity. The health institutions seek to keep their potential for the services rendered to the Haitian population, precisely to the people of Pignon, despite the difficulties in purchasing drugs and biomedical materials/equipment.
