January in Pignon

School at Last!

“In life there is no other name than the name of Jesus.” With that, we greet you fraternally in the name of our mighty Creator. And we already wish you “Best Wishes” under divine protection.  Bonjour, bonsoir!

Our journal for the month of January 2023 consists of congratulating you on your support for the Haitian people, more specifically  Phila Académie des Petits, the entrepreneurs, the microloan program, the family responsible for the distribution of food kits in Pignon (Pido Pierre) and other beneficiaries.

We find ourselves in an atmosphere of joy, grace and peace where we have the chance to experience the greatness of our Creator God in the face of the difficulties encountered in our country in the past years which quite often pushed us to reflect so much. Haitian political, social, and economic life did not allow us to live as it should be but still, God has done great things for us and we are in joy, declare people in Pignon.

The end of the year 2022 impacts us so much because it is our routine to celebrate with our families, friends, neighbors on December 24 and our Independence Day on January 01.  The end of the year party was perfectly fine even when there weren’t big things done. Everyone’s smile was diminishing due to the increase of hardship in daily life.

People’s health is always covered by health centers, the Pignon Charity Hospital. A small fever at the end of the year manifested in most of the population but was treated and managed thanks to the health and medical officials of the city of Pignon.

Education is the key to success. Indeed, it is! Despite all the rumors, trends, and other negative thoughts about the grand opening of classes which were planned at the beginning of September 2022 (but at the time schools could not fully operate, by order of the government),  all schools in the town of Pignon have been able to operate full-time since January 3, 2023. The faces of the students see the joy of returning to class. Blessed be our God who delivered us from the power of darkness.

Not too long ago in Hinche, Saint-Raphaël and Pignon, petrol pumps did quite a bit of distribution, which facilitated public transport (which was expensive), the movement of people locally and emergencies for hospitals especially helped the population. The current problem of fuel scarcity is not related to the Pignon authorities but is rather about the large contractors responsible in Port-au-Prince.

We are all, a life without Christ, a miserable life; a life with Christ, an endless life of rejoicing. We are still grateful for your support, acceptance for your submission to the requests made by Loving Haiti to help it fill, protect, create, and invest in the social, intellectual, economic, and spiritual life of people in the community of Pignon.

Thank you very much for always being attentive to receiving this little monthly newsletter, Loving Haiti partners.  Our words of thanks to the staff of Loving Haiti for these noble works done, given, and realized through the lives of the people of my community.

God be with you!

Thanks!

PS: We don’t stop releasing information about building materials, food products. Yes, they are high priced daily and not everyone can afford them.
